1. Adamastos
When searching for a place to stay in Santorini it is important to keep in mind your budget and other general preferences that you might have. There are of course the islands’ most popular places like Oia and Fira which are, due to its popularity by tourists, in the pricy end. However, if you cherish a breathtaking view from sunrise to sunset you can of course consider these cities for a higher price. If, on the other hand, you are looking for something more affordable and local I can highly recommend the Adamastos Hotel in the small village of Akrotiri, close to an historical, archaeological site and in close proximity to the famous Red Beach.
Adamastos is a small place located in the tranquil village of Akrotiri and is owned by a local, Greek family. The hotel consists of a cluster of small traditional buildings with each room having their own balcony all while surrounded by idyllic vineyards – we certainly enjoyed some evenings with a glass of wine or two overlooking the idyllic landscape. The friendly staff and good service all combined with the peaceful location and the idyllic surroundings will make you love this place even more.
